CHI Hockey Camps

The Colorado Hockey Insider camp is only three sessions deep but it’s already featuring some of the state’s best hockey players.
The Rocky Mountain Rage came out in Week 2 to help coach and teach some of the youngsters learning the ins-and-outs of the game. Captain Brent Cullaton and Daymen Rycroft, along with head coach Tracy Egeland came out to support the CHI campers. Learning from those who actually play professionally is something that everyone can benefit from. On top of that, Rowdy made an appearance and put smiles on the faces of all the young kids.
“The support for the Rage has been tremendous, said camp organizer Dean Nordstrom. “We have a great bunch of kids and it was really special to have the Rage share some ice time with them.”
The Rage will make another appearance at the camp July 17.
CHI’s summer camp focuses on teaching the game. It’s for beginner/intermediate hockey players who are looking to get better before they take on league play.
“We try to offer something different than other camps,” Nordstrom admitted. “It’s for little guys or girls that might have older siblings or parents that play and they want to get out there as well. Or maybe it’s the opposite and parents want to learn to be able to play with their kids. This camp teaches the basics of hockey in a really fun way. Everybody plays, everybody has fun and we continue the growth of hockey in the state of Colorado.”
